I’m really excited and glad you are doing this type of work and interviews, about life after death and out of body experience. It is fascinating and sometimes beyond comprehension. However I can totally relate to all of this. When I was 16 years old I drowned in the ocean. That was my near to death experience, the only reason I came back is because I saw my mother’s suffering. I was very comfortable and content in a timeless, painless, no sorrow, no rush, no tomorrow, loving wonderful and peaceful world! I realized that life is like a dream, when you are born you wake up into mortality in this physical body, when your physical body dies, you’re going back to immortality, therefore I’m not afraid to die anymore, it is like going home, there was an opening to another dimension for sure when this happened, which allows me to help others in this life. Great interview with Dr. Weiss! I was intrigued by his comments about pre-birth planning, destiny and free will. Perhaps you can address these questions in one of your upcoming interviews: Everything I have read indicates that when a person dies, it is their time to go; there are no accidents. But what if the person who died was murdered? If the killer had free will to choose to kill or not to kill that person, how could it be that it was that person’s time to go? Logically, it would seem that a murder would have to be part of the pre-birth plan if it truly was that person’s time to go in that manner. Do you have any thoughts on that or have you read anything that might enlighten me? Thanks.

Thank you. My understanding of it is that our life ends when it’s time to go, but that it’s not set for any particular date or hour. Instead, our soul knows it’s time to go and with the assistance of our spirit guide(s), our soul waits for the proper “opportunity” for our life to end. That might be when a drunk driver is driving down the road, when we cross paths with a desperate person with a gun, when we push our damaged heart during stress, or when we’re choosing to buy plane tickets and there’s a plane that is going to crash. It’s complicated because our death must also align with the experiences that the souls of anyone else involved wants to have. In your example, however, each human being does have free will, so if the person who might have murdered us chooses not to kill us, our soul and guides will just find another opportunity for our physical death in the near future. I do not know if you know much about Dianetics and Scientology. When he wrote the book Dianetics, L Ron Hubbard was sure that there was no such thing as reincarnation. Then he ran across people remembering things from before they were born and all that changed and then came Scientology. Yes it was great hearing from Dr Weiss and I had an experience with souls splitting before I even imagined such a thing. It was very strange for me to experience that this wooman and I used to be the same soul.

What is needed to do a past life reading ?
Hi Brian,
I recommend having a session with a past-life regressionist, someone who traditionally uses hypnotherapy to guide someone through this experience. It’s possible to go through a group regression at some seminars or use a CD designed for this purpose, but I recommend using a skilled, experienced regressionist for a couple reasons. One, the regressionist is able to guide you according to your own, individual needs. For instance, you might need a longer induction to relax you or you might need him/her to use words that are more visual or kinesthetic, depending upon your personality. Two, and possibly more important, the regressionist can help you “process” the experience you have. If you remember a traumatic experience from a past life, for example, you might not know what to do with that past-life memory.

I have been always interested in mysteries of our life, occult, spirituality, etc., since my childhood. And i have seen almost all videos of Dr.Weiss on youtube. And i could really feel so much of spirituality in him.
I have one thing to ask. Some astrologers predict our future with 99% accuaracy. And sometimes the astrologers also warn us about the upcoming tragic events in our lives, and i have heard that those predictions also came out to be true. And both astrology and hypnosis lead to one thing, which is “destiny.” So, i just want to know the role of past life regression in changing our destiny.

I have a sister who pass away with cerebral palsy when she was 13 year old and 10 year in that gap I was given birth to a Son and after I read all Dr Weiss book and I believe my Son soul is my sister soul. In this life my Son born a very intelligent young boy and life is easy for him. It is amazing same soul experiencing difficult and easy life, I have done pass life regression to confirm that, life is amazing. When He was 10 years old He told me when He grow up and earn money He would like to help people with the disability, that make me feel soo good.

Indeed I am, like any other mortal being, intrigued by the enigma of the continuum of existence. Certain things are to be understood in the heart and not in the dry reasoning brain. Life is more than living, it serves a purpose that we cannot comprehend as long as we are confined by our mortal grossness. I have a feeling that you and Dr. Weiss should be in touch with Ms. Dolores Canon, who has come out with the same realizations through the same analytical tool. Her books had fascinated me and today I stumbled on Dr. Weiss’ book- One soul many bodies- and happily I found a common thread in her and him. Though I cannot prove it with modern scientific methodology, I feel that life is a forgetting and life is a separation. We are troubled by an expatriate syndrome, an ineffable nostalgia. Our wold is elsewhere, beyond the phantasmagoria of time and space. I wonder how to procure the CD in India. From my poor end, I wish you all success and a fruitful career ahead.

My question: How do we know the mind is not manufacturing all of this ‘stuff’ just so we feel better about our life, as in there is ‘meaning’ when none really exists. I just have doubts whether all of this is a delusion.

That question is too big to answer fully here in a comment. What I can tell you is that personal experiences (versus vicarious experiences–learning about other people’s experiences) such as readings with a medium, meditation, past-life regressions and life-between-lives regressions can take you from skepticism or belief to a knowing. I can’t say how many experiences and what kinds of experiences it will take for any one person to get to knowing, but knowing eliminates this question and removes any doubt. Of course, we can have skepticism about some things and knowing about others. We don’t become knowers about all things. But reaching a place of knowing for one or two really helps one to no longer question these doubts.
I hope that makes sense. To cover this subject properly, I would need a lot more space.

Great website. I read Dr. Weiss’ book after the sudden murder of a loved one. She was a loving and caring soul and definitely advanced her journey towards the ultimate during this lifetime. The one thing I was trying to wrap my mind around is that of free will. Could situations as extreme be avoided with different decisions not only by the individual but other’s around that person. The difficulty I am having is if a person always takes the higher road, continues to show compassion love and care with every step I would have thought the positive free will decisions would render a more positive smoother departing. Bob was wondering if you had any thoughts, for furthering my development I want to know for the future how drastically my decisions could change the outcome for someone else. I keep wondering if I had made different decisions even simple ones if the outcome could have been avoided. Just trying to further my understanding. I take a lot of comfort knowing that this life is not all there is. Thank you.

I do not believe that being a good person means you won’t experience challenges or negativity in life. But I do believe that living by the Golden Rule will benefit you as the soul you are.
