Signs From Spirit: How Our Loved Ones In Spirit Tell Us They’re Around with Dave Kane

DAVE KANE: “In 2003, a fire erupted in a Rhode Island nightclub called The Station claiming 100 lives. The youngest victim was an 18-year-old actor, writer and musician named Nicholas O’Neill, known as Nicky. Following Nicky’s tragic passing, a string of messages, signs and signals from the other side began flowing into the lives of those who loved and survived him. Subsequently, a documentary and book have been made to tell his story.

“This interview with Nicky’s father, Dave Kane, is a discussion of those miracles that brought hope and light into the hearts of the grieving. I present this episode for two reasons: One, for those of you who have lost loved ones but have not yet recognized any signs from spirit, and Two, for those of you who share extraordinary stories like this one. For the latter, hearing another’s story can help you to feel the confirmation that such signs of the afterlife are real, and they allow you to share the comfort that these messages from spirit provide the grieving.” ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV

Dave Kane discusses the signs that taught him that life and love continues in the afterlife.

  1. Robin Karp says:

This is so timely for me as I take it as a sign confirming the signs I have noticed the past two days from my loved one on the other side… since 1976!

I recently wondered, for the hundredth time, if his incarnation as Bryan M. was still around or if he’d moved on beyond that personality, as reported in some of the past life research I’ve read. I didn’t feel the intense love experienced during the 10 years he was around me and then beyond for quite awhile; recently the song Somebody That I Used to Know has come to mind.

The pas two days have been full of the signs I got used to seeing, including the very first sign, his license plate number, as Mr Kane reports he got from his son. I have felt again the love that I knew we shared for the 10 years he was here with me in spirit, as we both healed from his sad suicide as a result of PTSD from Vietnam.

I am writing to express my gratitude for this video today and to report that after 36 years on the other side, love does go on and on…

With all the love there is to light the way, yours truly,

    Robin Karp, San Diego, CA

  4. Linda T Kuzyk says:

Hi again, Bob. Dave Kane is a wonderful speaker! I love his sense of humor. Each interview that you share with us informs, surprises, captivates and gives us hope. I have had signs from my mom more than others whom I have lost, but those others may very well have been yanking on my chains as well….just not with as much energy. Thank you, Bob. When I see a new documentary has been taped by you, I drop everything and tune in. I just love this “stuff!”

  5. Maureen says:

For years, after my Mom passed, I held some deep seated resentments towards her. I thought I’d never be able to forgive her yet one day,out of the blue, I said “I forgive her”.
. I didn’t really feel as if I had done a very good job of it but I thought it was a pretty good start! Hey! At least, it was better than it had been. A couple of days later I went n the kitchen for something when all of a sudden I heard her voice. Unmistakable! She told me she was proud of me and, because I have my own psychic abilities and have worked with spirits before I knew I had to test this one! So, I mentioned my daughter’s name and lo and behold typical Mom, “Don’t you worry, I’ll take care of her…my daughter and been walking a very fine line lately leaning towards getting int some very hot water. Then I knew, without a doubt, it IS Mom! She sounded young, strong, and healthier than I had ever heard her sound in all my life. I was overjoyed! I felt as if my best friend had just showed up out of the blue, like my staunchest ally had returned from the Crusades, lol. I have had many experiences with the other world thru my psychic works as well as my own near-death experience when I was 8.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Maureen,

Thank you for telling us that story. What a wonderful gift to have reconnected with your mother in that way.

  6. nooshin says:

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Nooshin,

Like Dave’s 41, I truly believe that the 26 for you is simply a loving reminder to you (from your daughter) that she is around. I wouldn’t look too deeply into the number itself. For whatever reason, 26 is a number that you notice. This, therefore, makes it easier for your daughter to say hello in this way — she now has a number that she can place in your path to get your attention. Numbers are an easy method for our loved ones in spirit to communicate to us. I have no doubt, Nooshin, that 26 is a lovely way for your daughter to let you know she’s present and watching over you. It’s a wonderful gift.

      Peace to you,

  7. Debbie Dale says:

Well done, Bob. You continuously provide accurate insight and credible information to the forefront, beautifully illuminated, where it belongs. Carry on and many thanks for your hard work! 🙂

  9. Lyn says:

Just watched the interview with Dave and it caught my eye as i too lost my son at 18 to an unfortunate tragedy(he was a twin). I do believe you have to look for the signs and listen because they are around us. I too felt my son was not at peace till i got the sign, the dollar bill that made its way back to his brother almost a year after they had jokingly wrote on it. Songs in particular are always another way i know he’s around me. Thanks and I love this website.

  10. Graham knight says:

Hi bob, my lovely wife passed over on the 29th o April this year and I miss her badly, but four days after she passed as I was watching tv feeling very sorry for myself, I felt her presence visit me I felt an amazing feeling of pure love so much so that I tingled all over, this helped me through the bad times ahead, she has since made her presence known to me a few times since and has helped me cope a lot better, I must say I have believed in the afterlife since I was 17 and I am 58 now. All the best to you with helping others come to terms with their grief. graham

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hey Graham,

You deserve a lot of credit for being aware and acknowledging the signs. I’m sure she was happy that you did, too. So sorry to learn about your wife. Thank you for your comment.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Alice,

From my perspective, you’re a wonderful grandmother. If you are wrong, then I am wrong in all the work I do, as most of my audience is people who are grieving. I think Dave’s story about his son, Nick, is the perfect example for Stephie. If you need some support, Dave himself told me that he is willing and happy to help anyone who contacts him. It might do you good. His contact info is on the video page. He’s a sweet, sweet man.

A big hug to you in your time of bereavement, Alice.

  12. claudiacv says:

Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for all that you do. My mom passed away in april and your webpage is one of the few things that has brought me comfort in this time of great confusion and pain. All your guests are wonderful to listen to and learn from. I just wish that your page were subtitled because I would love to pass it on to many of my spanish speaking friends and family that I know need it as much as I do. Anyway, Dave Kane´s story really hit home. I´ve been having some experiences myself, but sometimes it´s hard to talk about them when those around you are skeptics. My mother and my son shared a very special relationship that I´m sure began many lives ago ( in fact, when my son was 4 he would talk about that experience of when he was my mother´s father!) My mom waited for him to show up and then died in his arms. Even before she died, she made herself present to 3 people who have been important in my life and hers. I´m sure she was trying to say something to them. After her passing, she has been communicating through songs and TV/movies. Call it sincronicity, but sometimes it´s just too incredible to shrug off.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Thank you Claudia,

I appreciate your comments and I’m happy that these videos have been helpful to you. Your mother sounds like an incredible communicator. Good for you for being so aware to recognize her messages.

My very best wishes to you and your family,

  13. Frustrated says:

    Hi Bob,
Have tried to view the video three different times, and all we see is the first 53 seconds, whether on your site or on youtube. What’s going on?
BTW, your site is terrific–More more more!

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Frustrated :-),

That would be frustrating. Its seems that your computer’s settings only allow for 53 seconds of video. You’ll need to increase it in the settings. There should be something on Google or YouTube to teach you how, or ask someone you know who knows computers. So glad you like the videos.

  14. Rosa says:

    Dear Bob
Thank you so much for the work you do, I just lost my beloved son – 37 years old- in a tragic, tragic accident 10 days ago I am devastated, he was such a special men, we just had his funeral service yesterday and i felt so proud to see how many people he touched, how many people loved him. I get so sad that such a beatiful life got cut so soon and listening to your programs helps me a lot, gives me comfort in my sorrow. I am planning a reading but I think I should wait a little right? Thank you again and please keep doing all you do to help grieving souls like mine.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Rosa,

I’m really sorry about your son’s passing. If the videos are helping you, just keep on watching. As for a reading, you’ll know when the time is right. There’s no rush in getting one. Your son is around you. He’s perfectly aware of what you’re doing, and he can hear you when you talk to him. All the reading with a medium will do is allow you to hear his words. So just wait until you’re ready, as that will be an emotional experience. And I’m sure you’ve been through a lot of emotional moments lately. Give your mind and body a rest, and allow yourself the time to grieve the loss of his physical presence and companionship. And just keep talking out loud to your son as if he is in the room with you, because he is. Thanks for your comment.

  15. Maria says:

    Hello Bob

Thank you for your wonderful work!! I lost my husband on July 1st, 2013 and it was very devastating for me because he was my soulmate and we were together for 28 years. I have been seeing a Medium here in Sedona AZ and it has been very comforting and I have received several signs that David is wit me. I have also have had several dreams about him and in all of these he has come back and he is healthy but tells me that we cannot tell anyone because we could not explain it. Now even though I do know he is here with me I have a difficult time letting go of wanting his physical presence, just thinking of all that we did and all we had planned. Does this part of grieving ever diminish so that it can give way to being happy with knowing he is actually here without the physical being? Thank you so much!

    Thank You so much

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Maria,

I’m sorry to learn about your husband’s passing. I don’t know if we ever give up wanting their physical presence. I think our grief gets easier because time teaches how to live with it better. As we learn the necessary coping skills, we find ourselves living in the present moment knowing that we are okay at this very moment in time. We also learn the importance of our memories with our loved ones in spirit. I recently heard a woman say that she focuses on the time she and her daughter had together instead of the future that was lost, and she is forever grateful that she had what little time she did with her daughter. And then, yes, most eventually get to the place where they create a new relationship with their loved one, a relationship where one is in the physical dimension and one is in the spiritual. The connection is different, for sure, but the relationship continues. And this is how learning about life after death can be so helpful.

My best wishes to you Maria. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Bob My darling baby boy died in a sudden accident.. life went from fairy tale to gloom and doom in less than an hour. As I wander through life dazed and confused for the last 17 weeks NOTHING has given me any solace except these videos. Thank you more than words can say and I hope you know what a difference you’re making to people like me.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Samar’s mom,

I’m very sorry about your loss. I still believe losing a child is one of the worst experiences anyone can have. But I’m glad that these videos have been helpful to you. And I’m sure that if they are, my book would be too — I recommend it because I believe it will add some comfort ( But I send you a hug and really appreciate you taking the time to write such a kind and thoughtful comment. Take special care of yourself in your time of bereavement.

  17. Samar's Mamma says:

I don’t live in America but I want to buy your book online will do it when I think I’m ready. It does offer shreds of comfort knowing about eternal love and relationships, life after death, soul plan even as my hands ache non stop from wanting to hold him. But I know now in my heart thanks to all the new information I’ve learnt from all your resources that I will see my Samar again as certain as the sun will rise tomorrow morning I will see my son again and that gets me by 1 moment at a time thx

  18. Monique says:
