ANNIE KAGAN: “In this new video conversation on life after death, I talk with Annie Kagan, the author of The Afterlife of Billy Fingers. Three weeks following the passing of her brother Billy, Annie began to hear him talking to her as she woke up. Billy began to tell her what his experience is like on the spiritual side of life. And because she questioned it, he gave her evidence to prove (to her) that these conversations, and life after death, were real. In this interview, we discuss this evidence, what led her to be able to communicate with him, and what he shared about his experience in the afterlife. We also cover addiction and the afterlife, different realms of the spirit world, and the challenges of being empathic on this side of life. I believe this interview will encourage many to trust their ability to communicate with their loved ones in spirit (watch for my story about my friend Phoebe in this regard). Enjoy!” ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV
Annie Kagan, author of The Afterlife of Billy Fingers, shares how she
communicated with her brother on the spiritual side of life.
“The Afterlife of Billy Fingers reaffirms the NDEs experiences of the light and love I encountered on the other side. It’s an engaging account of the transformation of the spirit and I highly recommend.” ─Dannion Brinkley, bestselling author of Saved by the Light
“I am telling everyone I know about this book. And I LOVE the clever word play puzzles he gives you, like setting down pearls in an elaborate puzzle, that allow you (and us) to confirm his journey. Thanks to both of you for this thrilling book. I barely slept so I could pick it up again.” ─Richard Martini, bestselling author of FlipSide: A Tourist’s Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife
“The Afterlife of Billy Fingers is an extraordinary example of extended after-death communication. It’s one of the most powerful, liberating, and healing books on life after death I’ve ever read. In fact, you may have a spiritual experience while reading it that will transform your beliefs about life, death, and the afterlife. I cannot recommend this luminous book highly enough.” –Bill Guggenheim, bestselling co-author of Hello From Heaven!, Publisher’s Marketplace
“Greek philosophers even had a name for the people who somehow suspended between this life and the next life, “walkers between the worlds.” Dr. Kagan’s thought-provoking account is an excellent example.” –Raymond Moody, M.D., Ph.D., bestselling author of twelve books including Life After Life–which has sold over 13 million copies world wide.

ANNIE KAGAN’S BIOGRAPHY: Annie Kagan is not a medium or a psychic, she did not die and come back to life; in fact, when she was awakened by her deceased brother, she thought perhaps she had gone a little crazy. Prior to this, Annie was a successful chiropractor and a songwriter who abandoned her hectic city life in Manhattan in search of serenity in a small, secluded house by the bay. This is when her brother, Billy, died unexpectedly and began speaking to her from the afterlife, upon which she agreed to accompany him on his journey through the mysteries of death. As Billy reaches out from the “other side” to change his sister’s life and the lives of those around her, he shares secrets about the bliss and wonder that come in the afterlife. Wonderful interview! Your videos, especially this one, reminds me who I really am and why I am here. So many times when we are involved too deeply with our earthbound duties and responsibilities, we forget or don’t see the big picture. Thank you for reminding me!
Hey Karen,
That’s wonderful. You’re welcome.
Warmly,
Bob
Both may parents made contact with me from the other side; each time it was in the early morning just as I was awakening. With my mother, there was no audio, just visual, her face appearing within a foot of my face, a close up vision of her – she appeared in a Sepia color and looked just as she did towards the end of her life, not younger as is often the case. With my father, it was only audio, I heard him calling my dog, one of his frequent made-up love names he called her when he could not remember her name. That was the norm, him making up a silly name for her, so I knew it was him. I feel very fortunate, loved that my parents contacted me. I think it is very possible there is a higher purpose for this contact, possible more than I’m willing to recognize at this point, however, in the least, it was reassurance that we never die. BTW, I purchased Annie’s book after seeing this interview. That makes two books I’ve purchased after viewing the authors’ interviews on After-Life TV. Thanks, Bob!
Hey Louise,
I love that story. Thank you for sharing that with us. I have never had that level of contact; it must be amazing. I truly hope that you enjoy Annie’s book. Given these examples of your own experience, I think you will. Thanks for your comment.
Warmly,
Bob
Hi Bob,
Incredible story and interview. just amazing. As I’m seeking comfort and relief on this great and educational website, your interviews are getting more interesting and enjoyable. Thanks to ” our spiritual investigator “, who asks the smallest details on listener’s mind. Hearing all these info from someone like Annie, who’s not a psychic or medium, is a great deal and assurance that “we will meet our loved ones again in the other realm”. What a beautiful comfort for someone like me. I appreciate what you are doing Bob, Thank you.
Hi Nooshin,
You’re so very welcome. And I appreciate your ongoing support.
Warmly,
Bob
Hi Bob,
Another terrific interview. I play them all. I too purchased Annie’s book and several others from previous interviews you’ve done.
What a great story! It hits very close to home as I also have had a visit in dream states from two of my brothers that have passed. Both happened just before waking. ( That must be the time when we are most relaxed and able to receive messages. )
It was around forty years ago – about a year after his death in a car accident when my youngest brother came to me. I was in serious trouble and before I went to sleep that evening I was very distressed telling God I needed an answer within 24 hours or, I would do something really drastic. Knowing me like he does, he knew that to be true. He sent my brother to help me. Jimmy came to me in a dream and told me he was okay. We talked and he told me, ” Do not worry about anything. Everything will be alright.” The alarm went off and I woke up with a huge smile knowing that was my answer. I was telling everyone that Jimmy came to me and what transpired. I’m sure a lot of people thought I’d gone off the deep end. But I just knew. There was no doubt in my mind that God sent him to me. ( and everything did turn out alright. )
My older brother that passed was my best friend when we were kids. He died of cancer 5 years ago and I was grief stricken. I felt guilty and depressed because of his lifestyle of drinking and drugs. I would sit up every night after everyone went to sleep and think about him and cry. I tried everything but I could not cope with his life. I had no problem with his dying, although i would miss him terribly, it was his lifestyle and choices I couldn’t deal with. I felt very saddened that he suffered so much without getting straight. He did finally quit smoking, drinking and doing drugs about a year before he died. I thought it was too late. I felt I should have stepped in more to help him. The guilt was unbearable at times. He really didn’t want me to help but I still felt I should have intervened. I kept going over in my mind, “If I’d just insisted, perhaps it would have made his life a happier one. Perhaps we could have shared more time together. I was trying not to be judgmental. Who am I?
Almost two years later, I was sitting up late at night and heard a very loud and strange noise. After checking outside from all the windows and my heart slowed down from fear, i thought of Bob and said, ” Bob, if that was you trying to connect with me, you need to find a more subtle approach because I’m about to expire with a heart attack.”
Bob came to me later that morning in a dream and it was wonderful. It was not a dream like a regular dream. It seemed more real than being awake. I cannot describe how loving his presence was and how at peace and filled with warmth I became while listening to and sharing his presence. He too told me he was okay and that he loved me and would be watching over me. When I awoke, I felt very comforted and at peace. I just laid in bed luxuriating in the aftermath of his visit with me. Even though it went slowly, over time, I was able to start healing because of his visit.
There are so many ways we are given knowledge to deal with life. Even though I knew back then that we didn’t die after our bodies did, and even though I’ve had many spiritual experiences over the years, it took this interview that you had with Annie and reading her story about her bad boy brother to finally put my fears to rest completely about my brothers life.
Once again, because of your website and what you do for people, an answer has been found for someone. This time, myself. Annie’s story really helped and for that I’m so grateful.
Thanks again,
Marlene
Hi Marlene,
Wow, what a story. Thanks for sharing it. You’ve covered so much important information here. For one, you’ve described what’s known as “dream visitations” perfectly. That you wrote “It was not a dream like a regular dream. It seemed more real than being awake.” is exactly how many people describe their dream visitations. They tend to be so vivid that you remember them years later as if they occurred the prior night.
As I said in the interview, I knew that the secondary theme of addiction was important in Annie’s story. My father suffered with alcohol addiction and was in detox/rehab 12 times. I was just a teenager in high school at the worst of it, and I still recall coming home from school and finding him depleted and in tears at the dining room table. He had reached the stage where he was asking for help once again and was calling detox/rehab centers to be admitted. Sadly, they were refusing to take him because he had been to the centers local to us too many times. I held him in my arms as he sobbed and together we kept calling until one of these centers told him they’d accept him. This happen a few times until one day he just stopped drinking. He was sober for years until his passing at the age of 64.
It’s so common for family members of people with addictions to question themselves after their loved one’s passing (Did I do enough? Was I selfish to create boundaries for my own mental and physical health?). But you have described exactly how Annie’s story helps in this way. And she emphasizes this important point in this interview.
Thank you Marlene. Your comment adds to this interview.
Warmly,
Bob

Dear Bob
I would like to give you my sincere thanks for all the interviews in the Afterlife TV and for your loving being and presents. I look forward to each interview with so much joy and excitement…Thank you so much for all the inspiration and knowledge about the afterlife.
Best Camila
P.S , I have a desire that I would like to share with you. It´s about how much I would love to see you interview Nanci Danison …. Just a suggestion.
Again, Thank you so Much!
Hi Camila,
You are most welcome. I appreciate the feedback. And I’ve already been in contact with Nanci. She has sent me her books and I’m reading them now. Nonetheless, I appreciate the excellent suggestion.
Warmly,
Bob
Bob,
I came upon your site(s) / interviews as a result of my search for answers and comfort as I greive the loss of my mother nearly a year ago. I’ve always considered myself more spiritual, but I’ve recently been a little lost in the woods – so to speak. Your interviews are often comforting, but have created a strong desire for my own proof. I’m not really interested in experiencing a NDE personally…lol…but I would like to somehow get some undeniable validation that there is life after death….and better yet, have some contact with my mother. Like you, I don’t really think that I would be successful with meditation (too much going on upstairs…lol)…so I’m looking for a viable solution. I’m somewhat leery of going to a medium or pyschic because I’m worried that the result could totally turn me off and keep me in the dark. I beleive that validation could change my life, but I need a little help or guidance. Maybe you can refer a really good / affordable medium or if there’s someone within this forum that I can speak with…whatever you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and keep doing what your doing….
– Marc.
Another brilliant interview Bob. I love how you give your guests space to open up and share with us the wisdom and learning that their profound experiences have had on them and those they know! It heartens me to see so many, many more people are having their own personal and direct experiences like Annie and are able to connect with their love ones in Spirit. Watching how animated, amazed and enthused Annie was about her brother’s contact is so inspirational! Love indeed has no boundaries and is eternal. Thank you for again sharing and reminding us all of that wonderful lesson through your interviews!
Hi Michelle,
What a wonderful response. Thank you for expressing it. It’s nice to read your perspective.
Warmly,
Bob
As a psychical researcher of 30 years standing, I have a similar problem when trying to assure people that their dead son or daughter will always be linked to them in some way. People think that if reincarnation is a possibility that their child has gone forever and there will be no more contact with them. You have explained it very well Bob in your last posting. It is like trying to recount War and Peace in 10 seconds…can’t be done. But be assured, a soul that is linked with you in this life will always be linked with you. That love bond can never be broken.
Thank you Tricia,
Well written and excellent analogy (recounting War And Peace in 10 seconds). Appreciated.
Warmly,
Bob
Dear Bob
I’m truly amazed at the incredible work you are doing and you inspire and give me so much confidence, you are really helping to give me hope and faith.
Sadly my mother passed away on the 14th March 2014 and she died of a brain tumour. I am desperately unhappy and words cannot describe my grief and just how much i miss her. My heart is truly broken and I cry all the time. Life is so hard for me and I have lost my zest for life because I love my mum so much.
My life would be transformed in an instant if there was any way I could find proof that I will see mum again when I die and I would be the happiest man in the world. I want to believe so much in al your findings because you give me so much hope. Could I ask you Sir how you feel it would be best for me to get the proof I need that I will see my mother in the afterlife because until I have that proof I am so unhappy and I really miss her with all my heart.
I really cannot wait to hear back from you. My email address is: [email protected]
Could you please let me know what you feel is absolute proof we will see our loved ones again in the afterlife? Thank you so much Bob.
Take care,
Colin
Hi Colin,
I’m really very sorry to hear about your mother’s passing and your deep grief. I wish I knew for sure how to relieve your suffering, but everyone is different in how they respond to any one experience or treatment. That said, my recommendations based on what you said is to try what helped me when my father passed. My first experience was a reading with a medium. If you are able, I recommend more than one reading with different mediums. But if you choose a credible, reputable medium, one might be enough for you. Here’s an interview I did with a medium from England who gave me a wonderful reading over Skype: http://www.afterlifetv.com/?p=1067
I also recommend having the experience of a past-life regression. While that experience won’t connect you directly with your mother, it will help you to gain a knowing that we do not die–that we live more than one life. When you come to this conclusion, you will realize that you will see your mom again. I did an interview with Nancy Canning who helps people with past-life regression: http://www.afterlifetv.com/?p=1425
Finally, many people who are grieving have told me that watching many or all of the interviews on Afterlife TV have helped bring them comfort. It won’t necessarily help you past any skepticism you’re feeling, but it’s a beginning.
I hope this is helpful to you. You have my best wishes.
Warmly,
Bob Olson

Bob,
Thanks for all of your interviews. I love watching them. I read Ms. Kagan’s book and it was a very good read. Thank you for the interview. The only part of the book that I found disconcerting was when her brother Billy would say “now that I’m dead” before describing his experiences on earth and where he is now. It kind of feels a bit saddening that our loved ones that have passed would consider themselves “dead”. I was surprised to hear that but like you say “everyone has a different interpretation of their experience”. Anyway, really good book and thanks for what you do!
Randy
Hi Randy,
You’re so very welcome. Annie Kagan’s book is really popular, so I understand why you liked it. Thousands of people love it too. In terms of Billy’s statements about being “dead,” I believe it’s just his way of expressing himself using terminology that many people understand. He certainly knows that only his physical body is dead, not his spiritual body. But I think that he — like many people in spirit — communicates to his loved one (Annie) in the same way that he talked when he was physically alive. I hope that makes sense to you.
Thanks for your comment.

Bob
