JOHN HOLLAND: “Here’s an intimate conversation I had with psychic medium John Holland where he helps us to understand why mediums grieve. There is so much to learn from this interview about life, death, and the afterlife. John Holland discusses grief from the context of his own experiences dealing with the loss of his mother, Jenny. He talks about why mediums grieve, what people can do to prepare for their loved one’s passing, plus his own fascinating experience with deathbed visions and shared death experiences.
“John Holland also shares what he learned about the importance of being present with the dying, why caretakers need to take care of themselves, and reasons why discussing death with loved ones helps both the dying and those left behind. This interview reveals some very personal and spiritual experiences John had during his mother’s journey from the physical to the other side. This is a special Afterlife TV episode for people who are grieving, people who have never lost anyone close to them but want to be prepared for it, and even those who want to help others in their time of grief.” ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV

I thoroughly enjoyed Bob Olson’s interview with John Holland; it was enlightening, touching, emotional, heartfelt, and educational. My husband passed 9 years ago and I still miss him as if it were yesterday. I have had many signs from him, though, and know that he is in a good place and that I’ll see him once again when my time comes.
Thank you both for the good that you do.
My husband passed in 2010 from COPD so I can relate to what John went through. The doctor’s gave him something and he never regained consciousness so I didn’t get a chance to say good-bye. My mother passed in 2003 from cancer. Just before she passed, she was staring at me, then her eyes looked behind me, I turned but did not see anything, seconds later she was gone. I know there was someone there to cross her over.
Beautiful site. Thank you Bob Olson. Beautiful interview with beautiful amazing John Holland! Thank you John for doing this interview & comforting me & so many with your experiences of the afterlife with your precious Mom & others. God bless you for all you do with your amazing gift from God. My family & I are so thankful you’ve come into our life & helped us so generously with our grief of our precious son/brother & recently uncle Nick. By the way, I got a dove come to me just yesterday! Love you guys! ❤️
I was at both of my parent’s bedsides when they passed. It is a beautifully heart breaking experience. My father who was in hospice for several days, told us his sisters & mother were in the room with us. He also told me about a woman in white who came to him the night before, and took him on a journey to show him the afterlife. She also told him the day he would die, and he did pass on that exact day. After my mother died, I had lights going on and off, and heard her call my name 1 morning.
Hello Kathy,
I had something similar to that after my mother passed. Not long after, I saw a white figure in the bedroom window with lights flashing on and off. I looked away for a few seconds. When I looked again it had gone. I often wondered if it was my mother.

Hi Bob,
I just finished reading the Bob Holland transcript. What a lovely, comforting, hopeful thing. I am so grateful for the work you do.
When I lost my husband and my dad within three months of each other, I started looking for answers. What happened to them, really? Where are they? What about all that terrifying stuff about hell and eternal damnation?
You and your guests have made the truth evident over and over again in the best way. All is well, always.
Blessings & gratitude,
LS

Somehow, I missed this one. Thank you for re-broadcasting it. I enjoyed it. John is so down to earth that it’s easy to connect with him and his message.
I have a question that has nothing to do with this broadcast. I am really curious about intelligent life in other areas of our vast universe. Is this a topic that you might investigate at some point?
Thanks for all that you do, Bob.

Hi Linda,
I don’t doubt that there are other forms of life in our universe, but it’s never been a subject that I’ve been drawn to investigate. I don’t think it’s my calling. There are many who already do this. You might check out John E. Mack (passed in 2004), George Noory and Coast To Coast AM radio show talk about the subject a lot with many investigators, and I hear Art Bell has started a new show again.

Hi Bob! I thoroughly enjoy your show. I’ve learned so much! I was hoping you could answer a question for me. I have dreams with family members that have passed all the time. In particular, most of the dreams I have with my mother, she is upset with me for one reason or another. Does this mean she IS upset with me from the other side? I hope you or one of your medium gurus can help. Thank you so much for your wonderful show! Love and light to you! Sincerely, Francie
Hi Francie,
There is big difference between a dream visitation and a normal dream that involves a deceased family member. The first is a joyful, comforting dream that is so vivid you know it was real — you know they visited you. The second is a dream where your mind is simply processing something you’re worried about, such as a fear, regret, or past memory.
No, our loved ones in spirit are not upset with us in the way that we understand that concept here on earth. That doesn’t mean they don’t want what is best for us — to stop drinking or smoking for instance (and they might visit to encourage us to improve ourselves) — but they experience this from a place of knowing we are eternal beings having a temporary, physical experience. If this is a recurring dream, I personally would find a counselor who could help me process the recurring dream more quickly and appropriately. I recommend Dr. Trish Whynot who can work with you by phone. You can find her contact info at: http://www.afterlifetv.com/2013/03/13/healing-your-relationships-with-your-loved-ones-in-spirit/
Finally, you might also benefit from my book, which talks more about dream visitations and our relationships with our loved ones in spirit: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0965601986/?tag=altvcom-20

I thoroughly enjoy all of your wonderful guests and this was the first time I felt touched at a deep level. It’s important that people see mediums as people who grieve losses, too. We know our loved ones are alive, but we still miss them. So I’d like to see that grief honored in an empathetic way before we ever tell the bereaved how their loved one is better off in Heaven. I love John’s advice about waiting 3 months before you see a medium. Thank you, Bob, for your generous service to us all..
You’re welcome Carolyn!
Warmly,
Bob

Hi Bob. I lost my son, age 22, this past Easter Sunday tragically and suddenly. Losing him is the most devastating loss I have ever experienced. As many of us know, losing a child feels unbearable for a long time. I came across your website in the last month or so and it has truly helped me. I enjoy hearing and reading about each experience and learning about life after death. It has comforted me. I am thankful for your work and look forward to learning more.
Sincerely,
Kathy B.
Hi Kathy,
I’m very sorry about your son’s tragic passing. It warms my heart to know that my work has such meaning and benefit to people in your circumstances, because I do believe what you’re experiencing is one of the most difficult experiences one can have. I wish you and your family the very best. Thank you for writing.
Warmly,
Bob
