Life’s Mysteries & Meanings From A Soul’s Perspective

ROBERT SCHWARTZ: “In this second interview with the always-intriguing Robert Schwartz, Rob and I discuss life’s mysteries & meanings from a soul’s perspective. In short, we talk about the relationship between you and your soul. At its deepest level, we contemplate the healing power of the life our souls planned before our birth, and how understanding pre-birth planning actually leads us to healing. I also ask Rob if pre-birth planning interferes with our free will — a common question Afterlife TV viewers ask.

“Rob also shares how it works when our souls plan a spiritual awakening for us. And we learn how our soul’s plan is directly responsible for the family, friends and—yes—antagonists in our lives. In my last interview with Rob, we discussed the challenges our souls plan for us; so I took this conversation to a new place entirely. There’s too many gems in here to even list. Robert Schwartz is such an articulate, graceful speaker with incredible wisdom that I just know you’ll love this interview.” ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV

Robert Schwartz Biography: In a personal session with a medium in 2003, author Robert Schwartz was astonished to speak with nonphysical beings who knew everything about him – not just what he had done in life, but also what he had thought and felt. They told him that he had planned many of his most difficult experiences before he was born. Realizing that a knowledge of pre-birth planning would bring great healing to people and allow them to understand the deeper purpose of their life challenges, he decided to devote his life to the study of pre-birth planning. The extraordinary insights that have emerged from his work speak to our heartfelt, universal yearning to know . . . why.

Robert Schwartz’s first appearance on Afterlife TV.

ROBERT SCHWARTZ: “In this first interview I did with Robert Schwartz, author of Your Soul’s Plan, we discussed how our souls plan our challenges in life on purpose. If you’ve ever wondered why bad things happen to good people, Robert Schwartz shares with us his conclusions about that topic based on years of research. This video conversation offers hope and understanding about the challenges we meet in life, and it might even leave you with a sense of inner peace and acceptance in the face of your challenges — or at least help you believe there is meaning to your suffering and that you’re not merely a victim of unlucky circumstances.” ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV

    Another brilliant interview.
    Thanks to you both.
    Best wshes

  2. Ray Lechtenberg says:

Great Interview and a strange ‘coincidence’ that was your subject.

Still have some confusion on the life of a spirit. Is spirit bob, in the spirit world, still manifest by soul only ‘when applicable’ but spirit bob does not have a completely separate existence in the spirit world separate from soul? In other words, spirits do not separate (like earth life separation) from the soul and have their own place in the spirit world to live? Maybe this is just over my head! Thanks!

  3. Teresa says:

Thank you Bob. I always look forward to your videos; they give me so much comfort & hope. Once again, Robert Schwartz has done a great job at clarifying some very deep & difficult concepts; I love when you interview him.
Keep up the great work & take care,

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Teresa,

I’m so glad you like this one. I’m really fond of Rob too; he’s so deeply interesting and articulate. Thanks for writing.

  4. Diane says:

Hi Bob, I have read Robert Schwartz first book and loved it. During your interview , I could not help but think about Natalie Sudman who you have also interviewed. She is a perfect example of pre-planning a difficult turning point. She obviously does not put herself in the victim role, but has a unique way of looking at her experience and teaching others through it. Love your shows and watch every week. Keep up the great work.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Diane,

Great observation. I like that example. Thank you for sharing it with me. Have a nice weekend!

  5. Tina says:

    Hi Bob, thanks good interview

Robert says that if a personality has taken on too much of a challenge in the pre-birth plan that the life will end…I can’t help feeling but why?…can’t it just be ‘toned down’ without having to leave if that is the desire of the personality…in stead of plan A, plan B can just ‘fall in place’…many ways to learn lessons…nothing set in stone. I also feel that maybe we have ongoing ‘reviews and modifications’ to ‘pre-birth’ plans…we are spiritual beings and we ‘visit’ the ‘spiritual realm’ ‘unconsciously’ ongoing to observe, plan , review and modify maybe…why not?

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Tina,

I agree with you, and I think his clarification when I asked him to further explain it agreed with you too. At least that was what I interpreted from it.

My investigations and experiences have indicated that we are always learning from the new experiences we have in life. I don’t think that what Rob was saying was meant to put fear in anyone that they might die at any moment (I’m sure he did not want that). I believe that he was trying to explain why some people left the physical dimension suddenly, unexpectedly, or at a younger age. Rob doesn’t make predictions or want to spread fear. His work is meant to provide understanding and comfort, and it certainly does that for many people.

Don’t let your mind get wrapped up in any one detail that any of my guests say, because–as I always remind people–researchers in this field are only drawing conclusions based on the evidence they’ve seen, including myself, so don’t take what any of us say or write as the bottom line. Instead, take what we say and write as one option that inspires you to investigate for yourself and, then, draw your own conclusions. That’s what my book is meant to do and what Afterlife TV is meant to do — nothing more.

  6. Ray says:

Since Robert admits he didn’t list the ‘key’ virtues he believes are important, I went to the internet and found listed about 50 virtues ‘intuitively’ that I believe are important to me.

I read and thought about each one and my list went to a handful that I have really had a challenging time working with in this lifetime. I then analyzed each in more depth to determine if I have resolved them or not and tried to work out unresolved issues.

Some may find this exercise of value.

  7. DME says:

Hi. When this initially aired, I thought the subject matter crazy and didn’t watch it. I even got into some heated disputes with others regarding this subject. When I received your latest email last week, I asked myself what was I so afraid of. Then I decided to watch it. I was completely blown away. As well, it confirmed for me an experience I had a few years ago. I then purchased, and am greatly enjoying, both of Robert’s books. Finally, I apologized to those I was in disagreement with.

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hey DME,

That shows amazing courage and growth. And it’s one of the most valuable ways we can grow, which is to ask ourselves: Why am I afraid of this? Why does this make me feel this way? Why am I responding — or did I respond — in this way? When we have the courage, and take the time, to ask ourselves these types of questions, it opens us up to all sorts of new possibilities. Thanks for sharing.

  10. tami says:

Do you feel like knowing something was a pre-birth planned event, that it takes away the free will part of overcoming the bad event? Like in the event of rape, are you supposed to just say it was probably part of my pre-birth plan, wouldn’t that change the way you would handle it? What are your thoughts about this?

    • Bob Olson says:

      Hi Tami,

Pre-birth plans are only potentials. Free will always rules (and we can’t control other people’s free will). But when something does happen to us tragically, I believe it changes our perspective to know that our souls will learn something for all eternity from that experience. I don’t know that it helps us in the moment or in early recovery; but I do think it helps us to stop thinking that God is punishing us or doesn’t care about us or one of these many thoughts that people (especially religious people) have after experiencing negative events in life.

It’s a good question to ponder, because it shows us how our paradigms affect our experience. As you’ve probably heard before, it’s not what happens to us but how we deal with what happens to us that determines our future–which indicates that life is really about perspective (another matter of free will).
